New redesign for the website upcoming.

September 30, 2007

Long time no update. Although my 2nd year in law school has been busy, I haven't dropped drawing. I just received the 2nd printing of my book collecting "A Family in Providence" - which you can buy from Amazon.com, or directly from me by emailing me. As for new comics, I'm going to be publishing a new series in a month. It's called "Wish the World"...

"Canvas" won't be updated for a while. I will be updating "The Variety Show" and working on "The Assassination of X" for Wednesdays.
In the meantime, I will continue to update Haan Lee's "Penguiener" ...

I'm going to update "Canvas" on Wednesday and Friday.

What's going down in the next few months: We're back to a MWF update schedule. On Mondays and Fridays, Haan Lee's "Penguiener" updates (listed under the "Guest Art" section). On Wednesdays, there's either a double update of "Canvas" or a single update of "The Variety Show". Most of the research and basic plotting for "The Assassination of X" is done, but it'll be a while before some pages are up. I'm starting law school, and things are getting busy.

I have no more "Canvas" comics until I get back from my trip to Korea. A strip for "The Variety Show" will be uploaded on this upcoming Wednesday.

Upon reflection, the update pacing of "Canvas" is sort of excruciating...To address that problem, I'm abandoning the MWF schedule for "Canvas," and I'll update two panels at a time on Wednesdays from now on. You get cheated by seeing one less panel a week, but it makes for much better reading in one sitting.

"Canvas" will be updated MWF for the next few weeks. Haan Lee's "Penguiener" will begin again in September.

If you noticed the new look of the website, you'll agree that I have an excellent excuse for not updating during the last few months. It was a long and rewarding slog accomplished by Mason Galindo. Matt Gillooly is integrating all the vital backend development and original content. New comics will be up by the beginning of May.

The Variety Show

This series collects comic strips joking about anything from romance to politics to pop culture.

The Assassination of X

A historical biography that portrays the complexity of one of the most well-known proponents of black nationalism, Malcolm X. The project follows the personal life of Malcolm X as well as his complex ideology, particularly in the last few months of his life.

Land Of The Morning Calm

This will be the final piece of the organized crime series started during my college years. Determined to shape a country's future, Harry "Houdini" Kim, Genna, and the Coffee Boy pursue their agenda through the secretive worlds of international crime and politics. Not slated to begin until Summer 2007.

Canvas

This story blends horror, comedy, and mythology in the environment of an ever-changing canvas. A tale of revenge, morbid humor, and escaping crazed creatures, "Canvas" is not advised for those readers possessing weak dispositions.

If you are interested in reading completed works, love the organized crime genre, and/or don't really care, start with A FAMILY IN PROVIDENCE. Although you may read the six completed titles in chronological order, I would recommend that you skip the overwrought yarn POWERMATCH and begin with A STORY OF.
